Spring Into Action, Part Three: Weeds be Gone! How to Keep Your Emotional Garden Healthy

I have a friend who gardens. If you walked into her backyard, you’d think you entered botanical gardens. She spends evenings and weekends—literally every spare moment—tending her garden. Yet, despite all her efforts, weeds spring up right in the middle of her masterpiece. Weeds are a fact of garden life, and of living your dream. Despite your best efforts, weeds will sprout up in your dream garden. If left unattended, the weeds will flourish and choke out the seeds you planted in your horticulture or in your life’s dream. Success cannot be realized unless you tend the garden. Here are a few facts about weeds: Their sole purpose is to soak up all the nutrients to keep them going. They have a deep root system. Once they take hold, it’s […]

Spring into Action Part One: Plant Seeds of Success

Spring may have not started blossoming where you are but in central Florida, a beautiful new green covers the landscape, signaling the end  of a season and the start of vibrant life again. A Love Affair with Your Dream, Part One: Once is Not Enough

I once heard a story of a woman who felt her husband of thirty years no longer loved her. For weeks she worked up the courage to confront her mate. Finally she broached the subject. When she accused him of failing love, her husband’s eyes flew open wide and his jaw dropped. “I told you I loved you when we got married,” he defended. “If I ever change my mind, I’ll let you know.” That might work in some remote corner of the universe, but definitely not in our galaxy, and especially not in the Valentine’s Day month. In order for the flame of love to stay alive, you must nurture it. Fan the flame. Tell your lover and show them in tangible ways every day that they are in […]
